Isn't the point that by moving the leg on the convex side back (and up), the lumbar rotation will be de-rotated? Provided the torso is oriented to the front? Does anyone know of any research that would show the efficacy of this approach? Does it work mostly by affecting the symmetry of the iliacus and psoas majro muscles? If the scoliosis is just lumbar (or thoracic for that matter), can the lower/upper (respectively) exercises be separated? What would be the effect of walking with asymmetrical ankle weights then? Would going on toes in different phases of the movement (keeping the torso oriented to the front) work just as well as the books?

About 3 minutes in to the video he talks about Thoracic extension. I would avoid repeated extension past neutral point in the thoracic spine.
Close to the 8 minute mark: I feel that he is getting the rotation the wrong way when comparing to the chalk drawing. Seems like he is driving the the rotation further in the lumbar spine.
