Conventional wisdom becomes an accepted belief system and telling them that bracing is ineffective and that we need to "re-think" the entire problem and come up with better treatment solutions is pretty much the equivalent of telling a small child that Santa Claus doesn't exist. It is going to be met with resistance. However, we can effectively communicate a new understanding of the actual condition (aka: get them to re-think the condition of scoliosis) the need for a new treatment system will become self evident and the non-bracing treatment options will practically become their own idea.

If we can install the idea that scoliosis works like a rubber band that is being twisted from the top and bottom which results in a buckling in the middle; they will reach a new conclusion of untwisting the rubber band from the top and bottom rather than simply attempting to "hold it in place" in the middle.

Why don't you try that approach on spinekids?
