Default Physical Therapists and CLEAR Institute

Random question ... I noticed on the CLEAR website that training is offered to physical therapists as well. Does anyone know of any physical therapists who have trained in or practice CLEAR treatment?? Ive been weighing out going back to school and although Chiropractic would have been a first choice, in order to possibly later train in and practice CLEAR, there are no schools in my area (I have the family and mortgage you know!!) however PT school is a possibility .... opinions??

    Hi Sags73,

We are more than willing to train and work with any health care professional who is searching for a better way.

One thing you may want to looking into first is your state laws on PT's ability to perform spinal manipulation.

This is how the law reads for PTs in FL ... it doesn't sound like the state is on my side here. Does CLEAR treatment fall under the category of "specific chiropractic spinal manipulation?"
"The practice of physical therapy as defined in this chapter does not authorize a physical therapy practitioner to practice chiropractic medicine as defined in chapter 460, including specific spinal manipulation. For the performance of specific chiropractic spinal manipulation, a physical therapist shall refer the patient to a health care practitioner licensed under chapter 460. Nothing in this subsection authorizes a physical therapist to implement a plan of treatment for a patient currently being treated in a facility licensed pursuant to chapter 395."

Any ideas how this might be interpreted in terms of a PT practicing CLEAR in Florida??

    Hi sags73,

It means a PT can't practice the CLEAR method in Florida.
